The Prayer of Faith
Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray.
Is
anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
Is
any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the
church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And
the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well: the Lord will raise him up.
If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to each another and pray for each other so hat you
may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:13-16
Prayer of
Confession
Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against
You in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved You with our whole
heart and mind and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. In Your mercy forgive what we have been, help us
amend what we are, and direct what we shall be, so that we may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways, to the glory of
Your holy name. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen
